Growing up in eastern NC, Sharon Alexander has witnessed firsthand the explosive growth of Pitt County. Sharon’s parents worked in education, agriculture and real estate investment, instilling in her a strong work ethic and a desire to help others.
A graduate of NC Central University with studies at East Carolina University, Sharon worked in banking, planning/zoning, and social work. Valuable experience was gained managing a $1 million Federal grant for Pitt Co residents who were homeless or at risk of homelessness. While employed full time, Sharon worked as a licensed real estate broker since 2001. In 2009, Sharon opened the boutique brokerage, HOME AT LAST Realty Solutions as a sole proprietor. The brokerage changed to an LLC in 2018, with additional brokers now part of the HOME AT LAST family.
Community service has always been paramount in Sharon’s life—working and serving in organizations such as Koinonia Community Solutions (board secretary), State Employees’ Credit Union advisory board (former board chair), Rebuilding Together Pitt Co Advisory Board (former RTPC board chair), Life of NC/STRIVE, Kinsey Creek HOA (board vice-president), Rollinwood HOA, and Vidant Patient & Family Advisor. Sharon is also a member of the National Association of REALTORS, NC Real Estate Commission, Coastal Plains Association of REALTORS and National Association of Real Estate Brokers (board vice-chair).
Retiring from Pitt Co DSS in 2019 leaves more time for real estate sales and property management. In her spare time, Sharon loves “doing life” with her husband, Cliff, her family, and her church—Koinonia Christian Center. Whenever possible, Sharon is traveling, shopping and dancing or relaxing at North Topsail Beach.
Sharon shares “A large number of real estate transactions and making money isn’t what drives me. Of utmost importance is helping anyone desiring to be a homeowner to achieve that goal. Whether it takes 30-45 days or 5+ years, I will be there, every step of the way. Success is attained when that client or family is HOME AT LAST!!
